A Solo Fishing Experience (FX) brings six Warriors together for a week of camaraderie and world-class fly fishing. WQW serves Warriors who are at all stages of transition and strives to create a setting for positive growth and connection. Outcomes often include a reduction in feelings of isolation, better mental health, improved relationships, and improved fly fishing skills.

Solo FX

Couples FX: The Couples FX brings six couples together who often share common experiences. WQW created the Couples FX recognizing that there are unique challenges in post-combat relationships. On a Couples FX, Warriors and their partners get to spend uninterrupted days on the water mending lines and hearts, one cast at a time. Couples must be married.

Caregiver FX: The Caregiver FX is specifically for primary caregivers of post-9/11 combat veterans. WQW realized the impact our FXs have on Warriors could have an equal or greater effect on their caregivers. We value the caretaker's role in a Warrior's life and the unique challenges you face as a caregiver. We feel it is critical to serve this population and facilitate self-care for these hidden heroes.

Family FX: The Family FX brings together three military families. We launched our pilot Family FX in the summer of 2021. The Family FXs were designed to provide a safe and supportive environment for military families, create an enhanced sense of community through meaningful connections, improve intra-familial communication, and strengthen couples' relationships and parent-child relationships. Parents must be married.

Overnight River FX: The Overnight River FX brings WQW Warrior Alumni back on a remote river-side camping experience. Over the course of 5 days, you will float one of Montana's iconic rivers and set up camp at a different location each night. This is an immersive week in nature that allows Warriors to gain clarity, connection with nature, and renewed sense of camaraderie.

Conservation FX: The Conservation FX brings WQW Warrior Alumni back to Montana to help give back to natural resources that have provided respite, meaning, and purpose to the Warriors. Warriors spend the week participating in various types of conservation efforts in and around Southwest Montana.

Coaching Experience: The CX pairs WQW Alumni with their own certified, professional coach whose primary role is to support alumni in accomplishing a significant personal or professional goal(s) over 12 months. This is an intense, year-long program that requires a great deal of willingness and active participation.

Ice FX: The Ice FX takes place in a remote location in Montana where WQW Warrior Alumni engage in multiple forms of Ice Fishing. Braving cold temperatures, this is intended to be a hands-on experience where warriors can gain a renewed sense of confidence, strength, camaraderie, and connection with the group as everyone participates in executing a rigorous experience. Like your first FX, WQW outfits you with the necessary gear to brave the elements.

Backcountry FX: The Backcountry FX brings WQW Warrior Alumni back for a different, more challenging take on an FX. The Warriors test their physical fitness by hiking into the backcountry of Montana to set up camp for the week. This is a unique opportunity to regain a sense of confidence, camaraderie, and connection with the group in remote, natural setting.
